Recipe for Fig Paste

  • Take 1 cup of finely chopped mission figs and place into sauce pan,
  • Add 1/2 cup water, mix and heat on low,
  • Simmer until mixed well and liquefied (about 3-5 minutes),
  • Add 1/4 cup corn starch and 2 TBL honey and mix while cooking on low heat,
  • Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally,
  • Remove from heat and let cool,
  • Place covered in refrigerator.
  • Take 1 – 2 tablespoons per day.
